About us

Get to know us: Background of the Eco Network Association

Since 2014, we have been working on the promotion of the natural capacities of the city of Srebrenik, as well as the area of Northeastern Bosnia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. We contribute to changing awareness and creating new healthy environmental habits of both young people and citizens of different ages through the organization of education in the field of ecology and renewable energy sources and cooperation with educational institutions from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans, as well as beyond.

For 8 years, we have been working on concrete field research of the flora, fauna and habitats of the Majevica mountain, but we are also building cooperation with other associations from the area of the canton, and in this way we participate in the research of other natural resources such as lakes Modrac and Kop.

Our project team, in cooperation with expert collaborators from various fields of biology from the area of Bosnia and Herzegovina, over a long period of time through projects financed primarily with funds from the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in cooperation with local and cantonal authorities, comes to concrete data on the current state of the overall biodiversity of natural resources that are in our vicinity and are insufficiently used.
